What Do We Know About the Association Between Firearm Legislation and Firearm-Related Injuries? There have been a lot of studies. In 2016 several researchers at a leading public health institution reviewed hundreds of studies with results published between 1950 and 2014. They had a difficult time generalizing results, but its safe to say that its possible to craft legislation that allows some people to obtain firearms while reducing the extent of “negative externalities”, like the number of kids getting murdered in school; there are quite a few countries where that doesn’t happen. Guess I’ll have to read the whole article and some of the referenced studies.
